New products from KIM Lighting

Filed under: New Products — Shawna Hampton @ 9:15 am

Kim has recently introduced new products to their always expanding, high quality line.  One is joining the popular trend in LED’s with a wall mounted fixture, the other is a new innovation in site lighting; the LED Wall Form and Era Lantern.

  • The Era Lantern Series is an extensive family of customizable high performance pole or wall mounted heritage luminaires for roadway, landscape, and area site lighting projects.  The base series consists of heavy duty die-cast lantern structures that can be design enhanced with various structural support details, decorative accents, finishes, finials, and multiple wall or
    pole mount armature selections.

  • The LED Wall Form is new super bright white LED technology with a comfortable 3500K color temperature.  It is constructed of heavy-duty cast aluminum with a flat tempered glass lens and concealed hardware for vandal resistance.  It is StarView DarkSky compliant that meets IES/IDA full cutoff designation.

New T5 Lamp

Filed under: New Products — Shawna Hampton @ 8:55 am

Check out the new T5 lamp….

AMBIENT TEMPERATURE AND LUMEN OUTPUT - NEW T5HC (or T5CO) LAMP:

Standard T5 and T5HO lamps provide 90% light output over an average temperature range of 25C (45F).  In addition, to these lamps, there is now available a 54watt T5HC lamp with amalgam technology that produces a constant 90% light output over a wider temperature range of 10 C (50F) to 70C (158F).  This enables the T5HC lamp to provide greater light output over standard T5 and T5HO lamps in cooler and hotter environments.

The T5HC lamp is only available to date in 4′ lengths (54 watt) and uses a UVOLT ballast (universal voltage).

This lamp is not dimmable.

This lamp is roughly twice as expensive as the T5HO.

Kickoff Luncheon

Filed under: Events — Shawna Hampton @ 2:25 pm

On October 1st, Mercer Zimmerman’s Monthly Luncheon Series made its debut. The event took place in one of the private banquet rooms at Brio’s Italian Grille on The Country Club Plaza.

Tom Stafford, President and CEO of Lightwild, gave a very informative and educational presentation on their current and future LED product offerings. Lightwild is located in Overland Park, KS, but has been a part of a long list of high-profile projects all over the world.

In addition to showing the breadth of their product offering, Tom gave the attendees a look at the many ways LEDs, white, static, or color changing, can enhance any architectural design. From accent lights in floors and walls to backlighting glass walls and exterior displays, LEDs are an extremely versatile option and Lightwild works hard to create solutions for every project that is brought to them.

We have already started reserving spots for our November and December luncheons, so RSVP to Megan at msmall@mzltg.com now before all of the spaces are taken!
