Mark attended the University of Nebraska in Lincoln and graduated with an Electronic Engineering degree. He worked for various engineering firms for 10 years prior to working for AES Lighting Group (now Mercer Zimmerman). Mark loves watching the Nebraska Cornhuskers, Boston Celtics, and NASCAR. He and his wife, Linda, enjoy spending time with their two sons; Donovan and Peyton, boating, riding motorcycles, and working on cars.
Mark and Linda grew up in Omaha, Nebraska and have lived there all their lives except when Mark spent a tour in the Marines and traveled to many military bases while serving.
The Mattea family has two pets; a golden retriever, Charli, and a grey tabby cat, Mia.
