Born and raised in Moldova, Val brings a global perspective and strong work ethic to the team. He moved to the United States to further his education, earning both his MBA and a master’s degree in Management Information Systems from the University of Nebraska–Omaha.
During his time at UNO, Val stayed actively engaged across multiple roles, including serving as an IT consultant for the College of Business, an Innovation Business Consultant for the Nebraska Business Development Center, a Chatbot Developer for the College of Information Science & Technology, and an AV/IT consultant at the Peter Kiewit Institute. These experiences helped shape his technical expertise and problem-solving mindset.
Outside of work, Val has a wide range of interests rooted in technology, business, and staying active. He enjoys buying and selling cars, exploring new technology, traveling, and working on automation projects. He’s always up for an adventure—whether that’s discovering a new restaurant, visiting a new destination, or staying active through sports like tennis, pickleball, kayaking, and even marathon running.
Val is also passionate about cooking and enjoys experimenting with new recipes and cuisines. His love for learning extends beyond the kitchen—he speaks Romanian, Russian, and English, and is currently learning Spanish.
